Upholstery Cleaning

Maintaining your upholstery doesn’t have to be a difficult task. Silk-Wood is renowned for our commitment to the care of sensitive and fine upholstery. Whether you need to remove a specific spot that appeared after your most recent party or just want to freshen up your favorite lounge, Silk-Wood will ensure that your upholstered piece is returned to a like-new state. Patio Cushions and Umbrellas

Cleaning for outdoor living.
Our services for outdoor cushions and umbrellas includes; cleaning, sanitizing and deodorizing.
Pick up, storage, delivery and set up at no additional cost.
Additional services include: Zipper replacement, cushion/fabric repair and fabric protective treatment.

Wall to Wall Carpet Cleaning

Carpeting needs to be cleaned on an interim basis in order to remove the soil and contaminants that may not be visible. Providing semi-annual Interim Cleaning extends the longevity of your carpet and maintains a like-new appearance. We highly recommend and encourage our clients to take advantage of our Interim Cleaning services and take a proactive approach to maintaining the life of their carpets.

Area Rug Cleaning

We pride ourselves in keeping our area rug services worry-free by providing pick-up and delivery at your convenience. In order to provide our clients with the highest quality cleaning we require all area rugs to be cleaned at our facility to provide a double-sided cleaning, prevent the occurrence of shrinking or rippling and damage to floors which can occur if the item is cleaned in your home. We do, however, offer spot-cleaning and partial-cleaning services of area rugs in-home.

With the possible eventuality of spots and spills, we highly recommend Silk-Wood's Protective Treatment on all fine upholstery and textiles to protect your investment and provide peace of mind.

Quick Guide to Spot Cleaning

As with any spot, it is important to utilize the right cleaning agents and in the proper manner to ensure that a spot is removed completely without damaging the piece.
Silk-Wood always recommends that you contact a professional when dealing with any spots on luxury or ultra-fine fabrics, but offer these points of advice:


  • Semi-Solid Spots

    Ketchup, Wet Mud, etc.

    DO: Remove excess with a spatula, blot with a white towel and contact us.
    DON’T: Add moisture of any kind, and don’t rub.

  • Liquid Spots

    Wine, Oil, Coffee, Soda, etc.

    DO: Use a white paper or cloth towel, press (blot) into the spill, until completely transferred onto the towel, and contact us.
    DON’T: Add moisture, or any over the counter cleaners, which may permanently set the spot.
    DON’T: Rub.

  • Dry Spots

    Makeup, Powder, Mud, etc.

    DO: Vacuum thoroughly, if color or shadow remains, contact us.
    DON’T: Add any moisture, or any over the counter cleaners, they may permanently set the spot.
    DON’T: Rub.

  • Chemical Spots

    Bleach, Blue Windex, etc.

    Most are permanent, but there’s hope!
    DO: Wear gloves, use a white paper or cloth towel, press (blot) into the spill until dry, and contact us.
